| in order of importance 1) Big brakes (or any other fade free setup) a. Only fronts really need to be upgraded b. Use a dedicated track pad (Hawk blue is good and cheap) c. Of course lines (ss), fluid(motul 600) and MC Brace (300degree) are a given 2) Suspension a. Anti-Sway bars b. Spings (eibach or spee's special) c. Shocks (KYB AGX is good and cheap) d. ADJUSTABLE upper arms. (Adjustable is important, if you don't dial in negitive camber at the track you will destroy the outside of your tires (I destroyed two set of tires this summer one set in just two days) 3) Wheels/Tires a. lightweight and wide wheels b. performace tires/comp r tires (and possibly dedicated track wheels to mount them on)when you are ready 4) Performance This is up to you, many people say not to worry about this, but like you, I DO enjoy having plenty of power in the straights. For performace start with the stage charts, but do what you can to keep the lag down (increase air flow though your intake/engine/exhaust), and the temps down (radiator upgrade and oil cooler upgrade, and SMIC) you can get crazy and do weight reduction and safety stuff, but this is a good start for the casual track car. I'm pretty sure all of that has been covered above in one post or another, but this is my $.02
